GARE FERROVIAIRE (ESTACIÓN DE FERROCARRILES)

The station has recently been nicely restored and it is now possible to connect to the Internet via the Etecsa wifi network with Etecsa wifi cards (1 CUC per hour). There are also connections to Sancti Spíritus, Bayamo and Holguín. With the introduction of new trains in Cuba, schedules are variable. The train line that makes Havana/Santa Clara is 30 UPCs in 1st class and 20 UPCs in ^2nd class. We still advise you to inquire directly at the station as the rates may also change. However, be aware that even if the trains are new, the journey remains long because of the much too old rails.... If you're in a hurry, take the bus instead.
