The attack by Che and his men on the armored train (el tren blindado) on December 30, 1958 proved decisive in the course of the war. Although severely under-armed, the guerrilla units managed to derail the rail convoy loaded with weapons and regular troops bound for Santiago de Cuba. With the help of a bulldozer, the barbudos quickly gain the upper hand. Inside the railcars, you'll see testimonies of the assault and a few photos.

Une étape historique
C’est une des étapes du circuit proposé par Havanatour. Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour voir le train blindé lié à l’histoire de la révolution cubaine (28 décembre 1958). Celle-ci peut compléter les précédentes (Cimetière Sainte Iphigénie de Santiago de Cuba et le mausolée de Santa Clara).

Always inevitable tour tours of the city and its history with the che, it is not very big to visit, but you can have a historic idea, and moreover panels explain what is displayed.
