This beautiful colonial house exhibits documents, testimonies and objects related to the Father of the Homeland. Discover his ceremonial sword and the original press on which the first Cuban newspaper was printed in 1868, El Cubano Libre. Carlos Manuel de Céspedes (1819-1874), an aristocrat and wealthy landowner, started the first war against the Spanish power (1868-1878) before being shot in 1874 near Manzanillo. A highly recommended visit.
