GARE FERROVIAIRE (ESTACIÓN DE FERROCARRILES)

New trains were introduced in 2019 and all schedules and fares have been modified but they remain changing. However, at the time of writing this guide, here is the information we have. However, it is better to ask directly at the stations.

Havana-Santiago line. Due to the very long travel time between the two cities (between 18 and 20 hours), the train leaves each city every other day. When the months are 30 days long, the train leaves Santiago on even days and Havana on odd days, and in the months that are 31 days long it is the opposite. In first class (air-conditioned cars), the one-way trip is 90 CUP per person (3.40 CUC !) and 70 CUP (2.60 CUC) in ^second class.
