PLAZA DE MARTE
As its name indicates, the square is dedicated to Mars, the warrior deity. Built in 1860 and remodeled in 1940, it was first used as a place for soldiers and prisoners on death row. Fortunately, none of this is the case anymore... The Libertad Hotel has even installed its walls there. Its slightly old-fashioned charm has attracted the good graces of restaurants, cafeterias and ice cream parlors. Note in the center, the column topped with a blue, white and red Phrygian cap. Preferably opt for a stroll in the late afternoon, very pleasant. On weekends, it takes on the air of a popular festival!
