In the heights of the city, the hotel occupies the site of the old fortress, built between 1739 and 1742 by order of Don Francisco Guemes de Forcasita, governor general of the island. It is worth mentioning that the view of Baracoa, the ocean and the surrounding mountains, is of great beauty. With about thirty air-conditioned and comfortable rooms, it is the best hotel in the area with the Porto Santo. Access to the swimming pool is authorized for non-residents (10 €, including 8 € of consumption). Numerous nature excursions are also offered.
