BALADE SUR BUGALA ISLAND

Although it has been heavily damaged, the jungle is still very present on the island of Bugala. You only have to walk along the beach on the inner road to see this. A popular and accessible option is to walk to the ruins of the fort where explorer John Speke set up camp on his quest for the source of the Nile. The trail begins at the entrance to the Victoria Forest Resort. Many people hire a guide, but this short and easy walk can easily be done alone (with good shoes)
