Located a dozen kilometers from Mbarara, on the main road leading to Masaka, the Igongo Country Hotel is a stop-over on the itinerary of several tour operators. The rooms and cottages are clean and comfortable, and the three restaurants - including the tastefully decorated Rwampara and the Kaahwa Kanuzire, popular with visiting tourists - offer more than adequate cuisine. In addition to a cultural center, the complex also boasts a swimming pool (open to non-hotel guests for 15,000 Ush), a fitness center and a spa.
