Set amidst eucalyptus trees, on a mameluled peninsula where agriculture predominates, the Edirisa ("window" in Chiga) camp will delight backpackers. The dormitories, cottages and family houses are simple but very clean and equipped with mosquito nets. Open-air showers and wooden huts serving as WCs are never far away. Meals are of excellent quality. There's also free wi-fi, free use of the resort's canoes and an improbable swimming pool. Modest prices and a warm welcome!

On top, Arthur, Trust and their team were just the nicest people and it was a pleasure staying with them.
The staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. Nothing was too much to ask and they really loved talking about their community, which gave us more insight into our surroundings.
We had a lovely area overlooking the lake to perch our tents on. The toilets are eco and basic, but clean.
We had a great time swimming in and canoeing on the lake, and just overall relaxing surrounded by all the natural beauty.
The food was delicious, especially the banana pancakes! We stayed for 2 days, and leaving was definitely bittersweet.
All the best to our amazing hosts!
