On the plus side: relatively affordable rates for backpackers wishing to sleep close to the park, an excellent location (on the edge of the trail leading to Nkuringo and its UWA offices, located 4 km away) as well as breathtaking views of the jungle from the cottages and the restaurant. On the other side of the coin: expensive meals, recurrent dysfunctions in the rooms and, concerning the multiple activities on offer, organisational problems and sometimes excessive prices...

I arrived very late at night 17.8 and the owner Seith gave me one room which was the worst ever, no electricity at all, no hot water, from shower come a black water. Very very basic accommodation and not windows at all! That night was very cold.
Staff is very useless. Seith the owner its absolutely unprofessional und unethical. It seemes that he works just for the money and don't care at all of tourist. He will use every opportunity to get money from you.
I had a very bad experience. He wanted to help me to get transport to the Nkuringo Office Center (where we should start the trek) but he wanted a lot of money of me. I saw another group who were going next day to the same entry of the park to trekk so I say OK I will talk with them to go with them. Then he said you need your own transportation. At the end he told me OK pay me 10$ you will go tomorrow with them. Next day morning he told me "you won't go with them, you needed to take yesterday a decision now you should find a boda boda (moto) and go for yourself" I told him but you told me that I will go today for 10$. He made a lot of problems. At the end he just asked the group if I can join in their transportation. Of course he didnt pay anything. He is so problematic and the only thing he want for you is money.
The night before while we were having dinner I saw how he put the rests of food of one customer back again in the buffet. How can it happen!!!! That was so disgusting! He is so unprofessional and unetical.
Next day after my Gorilla trekking I left immediately the place.
I don't recommend this place at all. I travelled for one week in Uganda and have never experienced something like that.
Next day when I left he begged me not to write a bad reference. I am doing this because this can help other tourist.
