Cuckooland is an ornithological paradise, a horticultural Eden (the owner has a green thumb), a haven of peace at the gates of the jungle and an oasis of ingenuity ( fitness equipment consisting of salvaged car parts, swimming pond...) enhanced with homemade sculptures. Only accessible on foot (a sloping path leads to the car park, located not far from the Kabale-Butogota trail and 15 km north-west of Ruhija), this lodge would have everything to please but for the lack of maintenance of the tents and their amenities. Too bad!
