Based in Ruhija, the NGO Change a Life Bwindi is full of projects aimed at improving the daily lives of people living on the eastern outskirts of the park. You can get involved in this mission by giving your time (volunteering...) or by contributing financially to its success (purchase of local products, such as honey or basketry, overnight stay(s) at the pleasant and panoramic Ihamba Residence, located not far from Cuckooland...). You can also visit the Twa culture center in Kitahurira.
