Opened in 2017, the information centre, located on a treed area adjacent to the Buhoma Community Rest Camp, is the starting point for logging hikes and gorilla tracking in the Buhoma area. In addition to being one of the sites (along with Nkuringo, Rushaga and Ruhija) of the pre-tracking briefing, it displays some interesting information panels on the biodiversity of Bwindi National Park, gorillas and endemic birds of the Albertine Rift.
