Founded in 1992, KAFRED (Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development) is a community association promoting solidarity tourism. Probably the best in the region for these excursions. As well as visiting the marshes, the team organizes outings into the village to discover local customs and habits. It's possible to sample a traditional meal or attend a dance performance. 75% of the revenue generated by its various activities helps finance development projects in Bigodi and the surrounding area.
