BUFFALO BASE
Located eight kilometres from the southern entrance to the park, in the village of Karenga, Buffalo Base should appeal to those on a tight budget who do not wish or are unable to sleep in the Kidepo Valley National Park. Campers enjoy a barbecue and small tables set up in the garden. A bit Spartan (especially the dormitory), the whole place is clean and the staff friendly. The staff will be able to give you information on local culture and hiking opportunities in the hills above the town. A rustic address in a beautiful rural area.
