The small island of Samuka, located in a bay of Lake Victoria, is known for its abundant birdlife (great cormorant, little egret...) and for organizing parties (weddings, anniversaries...). Accessible from the Rumours pier (about a thirty-minute crossing), it boasts a charming swimming pool and environmentally-friendly cottages. You can take advantage of the island's facilities (swimming pool, restaurant, etc.) by making the return trip from Jinja in the same day, for an entrance fee.
