Chilled, relaxed, stylish, welcoming. We stayed in one of the cottages which was perfect for our group as we had our own kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The evening we arrived the restaurant / bar was filled with life. There was a delicious Thai special which was so beautifully presented on a banana leaf.

Will definitely be back!

Awesome place, nice and big area witl swimming pool, the rooms are good and clean, all the staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is marvelous!!

Solo no me gusto que dicen tener free WiFi y no es cierto. Solo hay WiFi en el restaurante, bar y piscina, es decir en las áreas comunes, si quieres ver una peli en tu pieza o trabajar desde tu cuarto o " cottage" no puedes. Resto, todo impecable.

Wonderful place, beautiful setting, delicious food, brilliant team of great people - all you need for a stay in Jinja! Simple and clean but also has all the important extras in terms of service and hospitality ????

Stayed almost 3 months with our children (7, 5 and 3) when my husband worked in Jinja. We arranged to book Mountain House with all of its 3 bedrooms, kitchen and multiple bathrooms, which was perfect for us. Comfortable beds, high quality mosquito nets, good showers, nice mood to the house. In the few instances there were any issues with any practicalities in the house, Hanna & Keith were quick to help sort it out. Sharon in housekeeping did a brilliant job of looking after the place and was always willing to help out with extras such as washing of clothes etc.

The plot with garden and pool is dreamy, green and peaceful. I worked remotely from the site and my morning coffee was always accompanied by bird song! Our kids loved the pool which was kept very clean and has a built up side/steps so there was minimal risk of accidental fallings in… also big and deep enough for a cooling dip for adults.

The Restaurant was a big surprise for us - we had not expected it to be that good but it REALLY is. We had probably 2-3 evening meals a week there, never disappointed. Weekly specials always a treat. Keith and his team also helped us create memorable evenings for special occasions such as birthdays, work dinners etc.

We saw so many guests over our time there who were obviously as pleased us as, both travellers and local regulars!

More than anything, Hanna and Keith and the entire team in restaurant, housekeeping and security are great, solid people who seem to enjoy what they do and genuinely care about your experience - not only of the place itself but of Jinja on the whole.

I would give 6 stars if I could!

Amazing environment

This venue is excellent for relaxing and affordable leisure. Ceasar salad is spot on along with a classic menu and great friendly staff who are super helpful. Kids pool is safely sectioned off so it's excellent for family time etc. Haven't seen the rooms but love this place.

We have now stayed there twice and it will certainly be our first choice on weekend Jinja trips. Rooms are clean and pretty, it's perfectly located and we enjoy the vibe. I would personally prefer a better breakfast selection, but it certainly isn't a deal-breaker. (I'm just a fussy breakfast eater!)

Amazing service amazing ambiance the Charcuterie Board was to die for but we were disappointed by the chicken with pasta and club sandwich the only thing that tasted fresh were the fries that came with the sandwich

Great place! Very fair price, definitely worth it’s money, ran by Muzungus. Clean rooms, hot shower, great breakfast included and a beautiful compound/ eating area. The staff was really attentive and even gave great travel advice and price guidance. Would have loved to stay longer.

We loved this place. It's really laid back. The new owners are very welcoming, they will give you all the information you'll need.

We were staying at a twin room. The bed are nice, they both have a little side table. The shower (on the hallway) is amazing (not western standards but good for Uganda), the shower gets really hot. We could use a shared kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, utensils).

The breakfast is good. We had lunch/dinner in town, so can't say anything about that.

They have a small pool, but we didn't use it because it was raining on one of the days and the other day we didn't have time for it.

My room in Forest Cottage was cosy and comfortable, with two single beds which had mosquito nets. I felt safe at night, as the property has a gate, security guards and you can lock your own door. The bathroom had a toilet, sink and a hot shower, plus the communal living area was kept nice and clean. There are also basic cooking facilities such as a microwave, kettle and sink, which was an added bonus. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and the staff were willing to cater to any requests. Throughout my stay they were really nice and friendly, and I had a great experience!

What would have made the place even better would be if they had more information available about walking routes or things to do in the area. Perhaps some leaflets or a map at reception would be a welcome improvement, for those who are looking to explore Jinja.

I rarely ever post reviews but this lodging deserves a mention. Beautiful gardens, delicious breakfast, clean and tasteful rooms. The new owners go above and beyond to be of assistance. 10/10 would recommend.

It’s quite a serene place to sit out and have a drink or two. The staff here are really nice. I really wish the pool was a tad cleaner.

The white water rafting experience is really thrilling. Everyone should try it. To say I paddled and swam down the Nile is something I’m goi my to love bragging about. It really helps that the guides are super helpful and safety was a top priority as we rode the rapids. I don’t swim so I was a little bothered but they had safety boat with aid kits and safety kayaks with people ready to rescue folks in seconds. I really loved this. If you’re going to do this, you should do it with them.

If I ever find myself in Jinja, I’ll be back here.
