The Kipling's cordon bleu chefs have concocted an excellent cuisine that will delight fine gourmets. Elegantly presented, the dishes feature short tours and fresh local produce, with the majority of the vegetables coming from the lodge's own vegetable garden. The fried potatoes, chocolates and Trappist dishes betray somewhat the origins of the owner and delight our taste buds! That's it for dinner! At lunch time, pizzas and homemade salads are on the menu. To discover! Reservation required for dinner, optional for breakfast.

Felt the 'royal cottage' lacked air circulation... Small windows and no fan. Bed was a bit hard. But it was clean and the water pressure very acceptable.
Food was of very good standard. Beer was cold but not the soft drinks and ice was in short supply.
Would recommend it none the less.
We highly recommend Kipling Lodge. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant (chefs and servers) did an excellent job catering to a low carb/keto lifestyle with the meals. The setting is beautiful with a view of the Nile River and VERY relaxing. The Kipling Lodge was a delightful place for our 3 day outing. (They even gave a price discount for our 3 day stay,)
