An institution in Palermo, therefore necessarily touristic. Since 1834, this restaurant has been offering "popular" Sicilian cuisine, and it is also stamped " slow food". In an old-fashioned setting, you can enjoy the famous pane con milza (bread rolls filled with beef liver), prepared on black cast iron stoves in buffet mode. There are also arancini, panelle, focaccia, eggplant involtini , swordfish à la palermitaine (with Sicilian citrus fruits). Outside there is a terrace.

Good food
Really bad service
Pour le reste, la cuisine est excellente et le vin était ce à quoi je m'attendais. Un repas tout en sardine avec les Pasta chi sardi pour le primo. Des saveurs particulières que je n'ai jamais goûtées ailleurs.
Pour le secondo, le sarde a beccafico. Si je voulais goûter la Sicile plus encore je ne pourrai pas ! Le trinôme sicilien poisson, raisins secs, pignons se voit souligné par les agrumes pour un plat aussi réconfortant que délicieux.
Enfin, je ne pouvais pas partir sans goûter la cassata à la palermitaine. C'est comme croquer dans de la douceur avec ce goût des desserts de grands-mères.
Je reviendrai sans hésiter !
Si è subito preoccupato di farci arrivare le bevande e poi è venuta al tavolo la signora Maria per scusarsi dell'accaduto e portandoci un piatto con i dolci offerti dalla casa.
Abbiamo potuto così apprezzare il gesto e gustare i deliziosi dolci scambiando poi due chiacchiere con la simpaticissima e bella signora Maria.
Un grazie a tutto lo staff e arrivederci.
