In 2004 the birth of this movement was part of the idea of opening a pub and then raised the question of the famous Pizzo, the mafia tax. A "addiopizzo" sticker (farewell to the mafia tax) was then posted throughout the streets of Palermo, this position gave rise to a social dialog, which was the origin of this organization. The Comitato Addiopizzo is present in the main cities and brings together over 700 merchants who are not afraid to publicly display their views. The weight of the organization is such that it was the only one received on September 9, 2011 by the President of the Republic in Palermo. The irony of history is that the pub has never come into being, but it has been in favor of an admirable initiative that should be welcomed and supported.
