CHIESA SANT'AGOSTINO
Church whose interior is still endowed with stuccos of the master sculptor Giacomo Serpotta
Built between the XVI and XVII centuries, you can admire the portal and the rich Gothic rose window on the façade of the Church of St. Augustine, as well as the coats of arms of the noble Chiaramonte and Sclafani families. Inside there are still some stuccoes by the master sculptor Giacomo Serpotta. You can see his signature: a lizard(sirpuzza in Sicilian) at the bottom of the second statue on the right. The Chapel of the Crucifix is entirely covered with marble and precious stones, don't miss it, it is a true masterpiece.
