PALAZZO COMITINI
Eighteenth century palace now housing the provincial government
This 18th-century palace, which stands on the Via Maqueda, a major Baroque thoroughfare, now houses the provincial government. Its sumptuous salons have preserved their period furniture. The governor's office is housed in the former bedroom of the Princess of Comitini. The Sala Martorana, decorated with frescoes by the painter Gioacchino Martorana, is particularly beautiful. Don't miss in the green room a beautiful white Murano chandelier illuminating the portraits of the Dukes of Malvica. Do not miss the boudoir and the ballroom.
