Art gallery installed in an old restored palace and in a magnificent setting exhibiting modern art
Located in an old restored palace, the setting is magnificent. Modern Sicilian art is displayed on two floors. The ground floor is dedicated to neoclassical and romantic works. Canvases celebrate Garibaldi. On the first floor, paintings by the traveller Antoine Leto, the naturalist Ettore De Maria Bergler and a host of Sicilian artists are on display. On the top floor, symbolic and modern currents dominate. There is room for 19th and 20th century paintings by Sicilian and Italian artists, in particular F. Lojacono and R. Guttuso.
