Former archaeological museum rehabilitated as a picture gallery and presenting rich collections on three floors in ten sections

It is the former archaeological museum of the Mormino Foundation. It has just been completely restored as a picture gallery and presents rich collections on three floors in ten sections. The painting section includes works from the baroque period from the beginning of the 17th century to the end of the 18th century, of a religious nature. The nineteenth century, more romantic, is the time of panoramic views of landscapes, more poetic and naturalistic. The main Sicilian artists are exhibited here: Francesco Lojacono, Antonino Leto, Michele Catti and Ettore De Maria Bergler.
