VILLA ZITO

It is the former archaeological museum of the Mormino Foundation. It has just been completely restored as a picture gallery and presents rich collections on three floors in ten sections. The painting section includes works from the baroque period from the beginning of the ^17th century to the end of the ^18th century, of a religious nature. The ^nineteenth century, more romantic, is the time of panoramic views of landscapes, more poetic and naturalistic. The main Sicilian artists are exhibited here: Francesco Lojacono, Antonino Leto, Michele Catti and Ettore De Maria Bergler.
