VILLA GIULIA
A beautiful 18th century romantic public garden with a dodecahedron sundial and imposing stone benches
It is a beautiful romantic public garden from the 18th century, next to the Botanical Garden. On the sea side there is a fountain designed by the architect Marabitti with an 18th century marble statue of the Genius of Palermo. It has a dodecahedral sundial worn by a young child, invented by the mathematician Lorenzo Federici. Around the central fountain there are four semicircular exedras to be used for musical and theatrical performances. Imposing stone benches. At the end of the garden, a café.
