MUSEO D'AUMALE
Museum installed in the former palace of the Duke of Aumale, alias Henri d'Orléans
Housed in the former palace of the Duke of Aumale, alias Henri d'Orléans, son of Louis-Philippe, King of France, and Marie-Amélie de Bourbon, this remarkable and attractive museum is structured around three collections. The archaeological section focuses on boats, with Roman shipwrecks found on the coast, and presents a summary of Sicilian history. The natural history section presents the birds and insects that populate Sicily and collections of minerals. The ethno-anthropological section is a museum of the Sicilian cart.
