The main beach is beautiful but crowded and stressful, as it is crawling with vendors who wake you up by shouting and stepping on you. Anything but relaxing. Choose the paying lidos or Cala Mancina (pebbles) ideal for sunsets near the lighthouse. Cala Firriato to climb a small cliff above the water. The Lago di Venere, difficult to access and ideal for snorkeling (30 minutes walk in the forest). The same goes for the Tonnara del Secco, one of the most beautiful in the country, like those in the Zingaro reserve (fee).
