MUSEO GROTTA MANGIAPANE
This cave is part of a group of troglodyte rocks, one of the most important in the region
The Mangiapane Cave, named after the family who lived here until the 1950s, is part of a group of troglodytic rocks in this village. It is one of the most important in the region and has actually been inhabited since the Palaeolithic period. Animal teeth and bones, worked flints, obsidian and rock paintings have been unearthed here. It now houses a village of old houses rehabilitated as a rural ecomuseum: old trades, ancestral activities, daily life, cooking... As a bonus: the view of the sea.
