CHIESA DELLE ANIME SANTE DEL PURGATORIO
Church with a nave and two aisles whose facade is decorated with figures representing the twelve disciples
Built in 1688 by the architect Pietro Lo Castro, it is built on the same layout as a basilica, with a nave and two aisles. The façade, finished in 1712 by Giovanni Biagio Amico (a native of Trapani), is decorated with figures representing the twelve disciples. Amico himself is buried in the church. Inside there are twenty statues symbolizing the Passion of Christ. They parade through the streets of the city during the Mysteries procession at Easter.
