The emblematic beaches of the island: La Cala Rossa, La Calla Azzurra, La Cala Bue Marino and Lido Burrone
You will discover many beaches and creeks enclosed on the coasts of Favignana, whose crystal clear turquoise waters and paradise appear on all the postcards of the region. Note that the most beautiful places on the island are taken by storm in July and August. Among the most emblematic :
La Cala Rossa. In the north-east of the island, Cala Rossa dazzles with the beauty of its incredibly translucent turquoise waters. A coveted natural jewel. Bordered by tufa quarries and steep rocks that descend in steps down to the sea, it also offers, to the west, a small patch of fine sand (quickly crowded in season). It's best to wear water shoes if you want to venture out on the rocks. Access by bus with line 3 or by bike (parking).
La Cala Azzurra. A marvellous beach of fine sand bordered by clear azure waters that stretches out at the southern tip of the island, between two rocky massifs. It is surrounded by caves. The small pearl of Favignana is quickly crowded in summer, better to avoid the high season unless you are there very early. Access by bus with line 1. On site: bicycle parking, toilets, café selling sandwiches.
La Cala Bue Marino. To the east, it is lined with impressive caves dug into the tufa which contrast with the translucent sea, offering a breathtaking landscape. It is the perfect place for a first dive!
Lido Burrrone. We will enjoy the comfort of the fine sand and the softness of the clear waters of this lido on the south coast.
