ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Former winery housing the museum located on the Lungomare
On the Lungomare, the Baglio Anselmi is a former winery that houses the museum. The exhibition rooms with ogival arches were once used to store wine barrels. The interior contains archaeological remains dating back to the 7th and 3rd centuries BC from excavations in the area. Numerous potteries, funerary urns, engraved steles, mosaics and a fine collection of jewellery. Reconstruction of a ship (from the Punic period) found in 1983. It is a unique example in the world of a shipwreck recovered with many objects.
