DUOMO DI SAN PIETRO
Church in Sicilian baroque and neoclassical style with statues of the twelve apostles
San Pietro is a church built around 1350 but rebuilt in 1697 in a Sicilian baroque and neoclassical style. It is preceded by a staircase with statues of the twelve apostles, which underlines the elegance and richness of its two-storey façade. Inside you can admire the Madonna of Trapani from the Gagini school and St. Peter and the Paralytic, a painting by Civiletti of 1893. Note the original coffered painted wooden ceiling of the nave, the graphic mosaics on the floor and the ornamental richness of the presbytery
