A few steps from the beautiful Piazza Archimede d'Ortygie. Address strongly recommended by the people of Syracuse. Specialties of antipasti and fish. Two rooms on each side of the street, one of which has a veranda in a garden. Refined décor in the image of the kitchen in this active restaurant since 1930.

I'm always a little wary of restaurants in touristy environments in Italy. They can be a little pretentious or overpriced or both. Trattoria Archimede was neither: It was a traditional place offering great, simple food with value for money, which is my favourite thing about restaurants in Italy. The owner was a great guy, we had pasta and it was delicious. I had a glass of wine, which was a very generous amount. I look forward to getting back there one day to try some kind of seafood. Wonderful place, recommended.

Great pizzas with several dining rooms including garden courtyard with wild cats. Enjoyed the eggplant pizza with bread crumbs.

Un service aux petits soins...notamment pour les enfants qui ont eu des plats sur mesure en fonction de leurs envies !! Les pizzas étaient très bonnes. Une ambiance chaleureuse et authentique. On a beaucoup aimé !
