Amable atención de su propietario. El lugar muy limpio y ambiente agradable. No hay señal de WhatsApp en habitaciones Muy cercano a la terminal de buses de trenes y del centro comercial de restaurantes de Siracusa. Recomendable. 100%

Perfect location sandwiched between the train and bus stations and a 20 minute walk from Ortigia. However, this place is filthy. You can see the accumulation of grime on all the doors, remotes, and chairs. The bathroom smelled of urine despite the cleaning staff cleaning it every day. I personally witnessed the staff throw the uncovered pillow and duvet on the dirty floor while stripping the bed and place those same two items on the bed for the next person. They did this every changeover, I never saw the duvet be changed. The kitchen was disgusting. Dead bugs and rotten food in the fridge. The storage bins for utensils look like they’ve never been cleaned. Usually all kitchen items needed a cleaning before use. The beds were uncomfortable, you can feel the springs on your back. It’s a shame because the hostel is actually very nice and the staff are friendly but I can’t overlook how disgusting it was.

12 days in Sicilia and the worst experience. No soap in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets,broken toilets, disgusting smell in the toilets. When I asked to refill the soap distributor, I was told to wait until the following morning!
One night there was far enough. Let's hope that I did not come back with bed bugs!
Only positive point is the good location near the city center. We could park near the railway station at no cost.
It us such a pity that hygiene is no good and that ni breakfast is proposed.

I loved staying in this hostel ❤️ The hostel is super clean with a very nice common area and kitchen. Everyone was super kind to me. It is very close to the Ortigia Island as well as the bus & train station and supermarkets. Overall perfect ❤️

The best hostel in the best location. Syracuse and lolhostel are my #1 after 4 months the of traveling and stating at over 20+ hostels. Directly next to the train station, 20 minute walk to anywhere including two beautiful swimming spots. The hostel is super modern and nice but there aren't too many beds/rooms so you actually make friends with people unlike the huge hostels that have too many people and feel like hotels. Couldn't recommend this place more highly and I can't wait to come back!

El hostel está muy bien. Me quede en la habitación compartida mixta de 8 personas durante 4 noches. Recomendaría poner una cortina de baño que cubra hasta el piso ya que cada vez que alguien se bañaba este quedaba empapado. Tiene aire acondicionado pero no funcionaba bien cuando yo fui. Las camas esta bien. Dan ropa de cama y toalla. El personal es súper buena onda, el día que llegue me explicaron con un mapa todos los puntos interesantes de la ciudad y me ofrecieron muy amablemente ayudarme a subir mi valija por las escaleras. Siempre hay alguien en la recepción disponible para responder cualquier duda. Las almohadas son un poco incómodas porque les falta relleno. Se encuentra a dos cuadras de la estación por lo que es muy cómodo llegar. Está muy cerca de la salida de buses para las playas. Y a unos 15 o 20 minutos caminando de Ortigia. Limpian todos los días así que es un lugar muy limpio. Tiene lockers individuales muy grandes donde uno puede guardar su equipaje, entra un carry on súper bien. Cada cama tiene su propia lamparita individual y acceso a enchufe. Cuando fui no andaba bien el wifi pero era un problema de la zona, no del alojamiento. Mis compañeros de habitación eran buena onda, todos rondaban entren los 20 y 35 años. Tiene una buena relación precio calidad. Otra recomendación que se me ocurre es que estaría bueno que la puerta del baño se pueda cerrar con llave, para tener más privacidad. Si bien nunca tuve problema de esa índole ya que la gente siempre fue muy respetuosa, estaría bueno que se pudiera trabar cuando uno está adentro para sentirse más cómodo.

Not helpful manager and staff. I had a mistake in the day of my booking. Spoke with the manager, didn't agree to cancel it through booking refund my whole amount. Claiming that he will be charged by booking the full price. Nonsense. Booking takes 18% of the whole booking. And the tax is 22%, meaning that's 40% max.
Do not recommend.

..... Llegué de aventura sin tener reservación y me brindaron un atención mas que excelente, en lo que haces check in te dan oportunidad de resguardar tu maleta, las instalaciones son amplias, aseadas, cómodas y agradables..... Sin dudar regreso a este lugar......

Très bonne auberge de jeunesse ! Les gérants sont tous adorables et parlent plusieurs langues ( très pratiques). Les lieux de vies sont conviviaux et nous avons très bien dormi. Sans compter que pour aller sur ortigia depuis l’hostel il nous suffisait de marcher en ligne droite c’était parfait !

Buonasera Signor Proprietario, sono la moglie di Corrado Bassi, “PRESENTATASI IN RECEPTION CON ABITI DI GALA, CHE HA AVUTO IL CORAGGIO DI LAMENTARSI, DOTATA DI CHIARI SINTOMI DI ANALFABETISMO FUNZIONALE”. Ho riportato fedelmente le sue parole in virgolettato ed in maiuscolo, con il semplice scopo di evidenziare come lei tratta i clienti che OSANO recensirla non positivamente. Abbiamo chiesto il rimborso a Airb&b in quanto, nella vostra pagina di presentazione del tutto INGANNEVOLE, la vostra struttura viene presentata in caratteri grandi ed evidenti quale “Bed & Breakfast”, e non come ostello! Definizione invece che riportate nella lunga descrizione in caratteri piccoli. Strano, mi ricorda così tanto le piccole postille che ti ingannano in un contratto e che solitamente non si vanno a leggere.
Abbiamo chiesto il rimborso perché NON ABBIAMO SOGGIORNATO DA VOI, e voi non ci avete restituito 1€ su 176€. Il suo atteggiamento è DISGUSTOSO e lei vende le sue camera in modo PALESEMENTE INGANNEVOLE. Si vergogni.

Struttura surreale mi è stato proposto una stanza con sette letti a castello. Nella stanza non si entrava nemmeno con le valigie; Materassi senza lenzuola. Non si sapeva dove aprire le valigie.. Pubblicità ammaliante sul sito lo spacciano come un b&b e invece è una caserma. Costasse 20 euro avrebbe un senso ma 170’euro due notti un furto. Ho chiesto la restituzione dei soldi ma mi hanno fatto una pernacchia Esperienza più negativa in 40 anni di viaggi. Statene alla larga. luglio 2023. Mi hanno portato via 176 euro senza soggiornare. . E le foto traggono in inganno

Very close to the bus and train station, and still convenient to most places (nice flat walk) thanks to a free bus taking you to the historical center, Ortigia.

The staff is super friendly, the room I was in had 4 beds and a private bathroom. Sheets, lockers and towels are included, there was plenty of space and aircon kept the room cool.

It was noisy at night in the street but could have been a one off because of nearby bar, and with closed window it was ok. The metal structures of the beds means you can hear/feel when the person above you moves, but other than that it was very good value for what you get and I recommend it.

Pokoje czyste z łazienką w środku.
Pościel czysta. Do dyspozycji wyposażona kuchnia. W środku również bar.
Bardzo miła obsługa.

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja: blisko dworca kolejowego i w połowie drogi pomiędzy strefą archeologiczną a Ortygią. Bardzo miła obsługa. Spora część wspólna. Dostępna kuchnia z dbałością o segregację śmieci. Można trochę poprawić wentylację w łazience, by nie było grzyba. Dobra relacja jakości do ceny.

I write in English to make aware of how nice is the staff, hearing that there is a great variety of Gins at their bar.
Eventually there's a chance to enjoy a nice happy hour at the open air.

Great knives to be used properly for cooking ???? ♥

And great open space for even getting to know fun people!!!

Stayed for almost one week,
It was worth also for being on a strategic area

Unfortunately didn't have the chance to great them GOODBYE

but to be honest the receptionists are talented on languages, maybe some other things I didn't see as well, smart, and open to conversation, especially Nicolas!

A bland hostel. All depends on the guests that are staying, the owners and staff do not create an atmosphere.

My impression that the main focus of this hostel is to make money from you not to encourage traveling or make you feel at home.

There are attempts to make this hostel feel more alive but so far they seem undeveloped and desperate.

Dorm rooms have a weird juxtaposition between feeling very sterile yet also quite rotten. Dirty showers and toilets, and bugs crawling around.

Stay here if you want, as it's the only hostel in Siracusa. If I would do this again, I would visit Siracusa on a day trip by coach from Catania (where there are nicer, cheaper, friendlier hostels)

It's a great central pretty very clean hostel. However, the wifi doesn't work in the dorms, the tap water is undrinkable and the music in the common area is so loud that its hard to communicate. You even hear the music extremely loud in the dorm rooms, for me that's a huge downside of this hostel. Maybe it's a party hostel or something similar, however, it's not advertised as something like this. I believe the loud music is the reason why it's a bit difficult to connect with people in this hostel, everyone seems very much to themselfs. The kitchen, is in the middle of the main common area, well it's more a small gas stove and a fridge. Weird location for a kitchen but it has all whats needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful, knows a lot about the area and gives good recommendations. It's the music mainly for not giving all stars.

LOL HOSTEL is practical because closeness of the stations (bus or train): one deposits bags and hop, visit begins... Roman site greco/and island Ortyga, 10mn on foot (the receptionist Salve super speak French and can recommend good restaurants in the city!)
