Historical hotel located outside the city center with a beautiful swimming pool with a terrace and flowers
This historic hotel, which has been in existence since 1862, is located outside the city centre in the Capuchin Latomia Park, close to the archaeological area. It is a beautiful noble residence. Here came down crowned heads and stars (Churchill, the family of Savoy, d'Annunzio...). Refined and luxurious decoration for the lounges and the restaurant, classic elegance for the 100 rooms (air conditioning, television, minibar, telephone). A very beautiful swimming pool with a flowered terrace to relax. Parking. Excellent reception.

The breakfast was close to terrible, cold scrambled eggs, very little choice of everything and broken coffee machines.
The room was ok and had something to remember the good old times, but desperately needs refurbishment.
The hotel bar was open and we had a glass of drink on the terrace.
Services were good. Wifi was ok. Free parking.
Unbelievable, near the hotel is kind of open cave(10 meters deep) which shows a bit of arrangement like a show hall, but it is not lit at night and the entire possible spectacular view is lost.????
Far from being a Grand Hotel!!!!
