PALAZZO GRAVINA-PACE
Palace with rich frescoes and a beautiful art collection in Caltagirone.
The rest of the palace, built in the 16th and 17th centuries, is built around an ancient medieval tower. With a sober and elegant architecture, the building offers an exceptional stone balcony. Sculpted by the Gagini family, it represents warriors, emperors, women and monsters in a remarkable harmony. From the staircase, one reaches the rooms rich in frescoes and art collections, including a selection of magnificent ceramics. The library has real treasures, including the writings of the famous archaeologist Biagio Pace, active in Sicily.
