Museum containing funerary objects and various collections in a former prison in Caltagirone.
The Municipal Museum is housed in the former prison of the Bourbon era. The visit is interesting, not least because of the massive structure of the former fortress, which has been very well restored. The collection consists mainly of archaeological evidence of local civilizations in the Neolithic period, and funerary objects found in a necropolis. Also paintings from the 14th to the 20th century by Sicilian painters and ancient ceramics.
