Piazza Armerina is a square with a beautiful garden and is surrounded by magnificent buildings.
This square has a charming little garden, but it is mostly framed by magnificent buildings from different periods. It brings together 18th and 19th century residences, palaces of the noble families Velandila and Roccazzella. The square takes its name from the Aragonese Castle, built at the end of the 14th century, residence of Martin I of Aragon. Also the church of the Madonna della Nevera, built in the 17th century. It is annexed to the convent of the Agostinians. Precious stucco decorations and paintings adorn it.
