Cathedral with a remarkable baroque portal in Acireale.
Built at the end of the 15th century, the façade of the cathedral was remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries. Its baroque portal is quite remarkable. The interior is in the shape of a Latin cross, with 3 naves. In the Chapel of Santa Venera, which is carefully decorated, there is a silver simulacrum representing the patron saint of the city, a 17th century Baroque work, and on the pavement of the left transept there is a 19th century sundial.
