PALAZZO BADIA VECCHIA
A beautiful palace with an archaeological museum about the Greco-Roman period in Taormina.
The 14th century medieval architecture of the palace is superb, especially its beautiful mullioned windows with pointed arches. Its tower was part of the city's defensive wall. A magnificent two-coloured frieze delimits the first and second floors of the façade, which looks like a fine weave of flowery lace. Inside, visit the small archaeological museum on the Greco-Roman period is the opportunity to enter this superb stone building. One can appreciate amphoras, anchors and marble statues of Telamon exposed here.
