GIARDINO PUBBLICO
Park in Taormina considered a lively meeting place
Amid exuberant Mediterranean vegetation, paths criss-cross a maze of hedges and flowerbeds, stretching over 3 hectares. Some of the incongruous constructions project us into the strange world of Lewis Carroll. They are the work of the Englishwoman Lady Trevelyan, an ornithologist who improvised as an architect in her spare time, and former owner of the garden. The advantage of this park is that it has remained a lively meeting place. It's a favorite meeting place for the locals.
