COLLEGIALE SAINT-GAL
In the heart of Langeac, this collegiate mixes in its vault full-scale and ogival style. The influence of the Languedoc gothic is found in the ogivalic windows with rounded cloves and the western porch, also in wardrobe, which is accompanied by bells. The two-story bell is decorated with gargoulia. On the inside of the church, we will focus on a polychrome wood tomb of the fifteenth century and the baptismal fonts of the xiith century. There are also sculpted statuettes and several paintings including the Coronation of the Virgin of the painter Guy François. There will also be a small church furniture, Renaissance stalals and a beautiful lutrin. Classified as a historic monument since 1907, the collegiate Saint-Gal has remembered a past in which Langeac was considered a "good city" and enjoyed many privileges.
