CASTELLO
This castle is an imposing fortress with crenellated swallowtail towers and white stone walls
"Another castle!" exclaim a few jaded grumblers, fed up with these landscapes of ruined castles. Yes, but this one, dating from the 11th century, is one of the most beautiful and best preserved on the whole island, and it was never conquered. Originally a fortress flanked by a watchtower, it has been altered several times (especially in the Baroque period) and stands as an imposing fortress with crenellated swallowtail towers and white stone perimeter walls. The interior of the castle, used as an exhibition space, is of little interest.
