Located a few steps from Jackson Square and established in one of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter, Gumbo Shop is a good place to try local cuisine. In a large room with a Parisian brasserie feel and beautiful engravings on the walls reminiscent of French New Orleans, you can try Cajun or Creole meat or seafood dishes, all at a reasonable price. The service is fast and efficient, and the food quite good. The interior courtyard is very pleasant, unless you are near the entrance hallway.

Restaurant cajun dans French Quarter
Dans une ambiance locale, nous avons bien apprécié les plats typiques qui nous ont été servis: gumbo, jambalaya, pralines sundae. Malgré les nombreuses tables occupées, le service a été efficace avec une bonne convivialité. Le rapport qualité prix est excellent. Une adresse à recommander en plein coeur de French Quarter.

je joins absolument l'avis de petit futé, le service de Gumbo shop est rapide et efficace. Si vous êtes ou passez à La Nouvelle-Orléans, allez-y!

cadre agréable
une adresse sympa dans un quartier animé, le cadre est agréable mais la nourriture est un peu noyée sous les sauces et le rapport qualité / prix n’est pas terrible.
