SOFIA

This Italian restaurant makes a nice nod to Sophia Loren (a friend of the owner's parents) who can be seen on an Andy Warhol-style painting of her eating spaghetti. Sofia's cuisine is traditional Italian with a modern touch. On the slate, succulent antipasti, homemade pasta and, above all, incredible pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven in front of us at the back of the room. For brunch, try the lunch pizza or the steak and egg. A nice list of alcoholic beverages supports the whole thing, including Italian vintages, of course.
