This place is AMAZING. I have not ONE complaint. The staff is great. Rooms are clean and very nice. We ended up extending our stay bc of a storm and got a private room this time. I'm sure that will be as great. If you come to New Orleans and need a place. THIS is theeee place. Absolutely love it. The owner is awesome also. Give it a shot people.it won't disappoint.

This place is very special. It feels like coming home to your family of friends. It is centrally located, they provide delicious food, and even drinks on the weekend. The staff is incredible (thank you Sean, James, Hayden, Sophia, Austin). I highly recommend Mme Isabelle’s and I will definitely be back. Perfect for the solo traveler looking to make friends and have wonderful adventures!

Nice, clean, modern, good forniture.
Very organized, the thing I liked most was that they organized events as wine pouring and jambalaya .
Miriam provided great hospitality.

For sure the best hostel experience I’ve had. It’s got such a great atmosphere to the place, really lovely setting and perfect location close to everything. The beds are pretty comfy and the bathroom was clean. Myriam especially was awesome - really down to earth and showed us some cool spots and made me feel so welcome. My only suggestions would be to have more female staff as it seemed pretty heavy on the guys (but that’s just a me preference)/lockers with keys for when you’re out of the room. Overall though I would 100% stay here again (and I usually hate hostels so that’s saying a lot !) thank you :-)

Had an amazing time at this hostel for my 21st bday. Wasn’t sure what to expect as a nervous female solo traveler, but I immediately felt welcomed and at home the first night. All of the staff was so amazing, friendly and helpful. One of the staff members even made bday cookies, I felt honored and overjoyed to have an adorable little celebration with the most wonderful strangers. I enjoyed the free breakfast, Wednesday night Jambalaya (vegan version too!), and the cocktails Myriam cooked up were delicious. I had a great time with everybody exploring Frenchman & Bourbon street. The 8 bed female dorm room was very comfortable and clean. I appreciated the bikes they have to rent out for $15 a day, New Orleans is a beautiful city to explore by bike! And of course I can’t forget to mention the precious hostel kitties, who I loved spending my down time with. Overall I’m very grateful for my pleasant experience at Madame Isabelle’s house and I hope to return in the future!

Great hostel!
We felt right at home in the hostel thanks to the evening activities and the terrace where we could relax :)
A special thanks to Myriam who was able to recommend vegan and gluten-free restaurants and places in the city for me! Being celiac, it was sometimes difficult to find my way around, so thank you for that!

My experience may be a one off experience due to Mardi Gras busyness BUT I won’t be booking here again. I’m an extrovert and can talk to anyone however, the staff member that checked me in and toured the location with me had zero interest in small talk which made for a very awkward tour, staff in general looked frustrated, I felt very inconvenient and tried not to be at the hostel as much as possible, there was no body soap or shampoo in the bathroom (which is at other hostels I’ve been to), which is fine but a warning would be nice. Also, they don’t give a check-in time on the confirmation email but they do have a check-in time, i got there 30 min before this time and was told to wait, no problem, but they checked another individual in despite the time they gave me when I walked in, not the best experience.

Staff are excellent, the events are great, location is right near everything I wanted to do, price is reasonable for what it is. 11/10, I'll be back.

This was the best hostel I’ve stayed at! They had free breakfast every morning and free community dinner/drinks a few nights a week. The staff were beyond friendly and really made it feel like such a strong community. There was a handsome manager Kyle and a slew of other folks from around the world ready to help out in any way. There’s a hot tub! Cute cats! Gorgeous backyard! And my group’s room had a surprisingly fancy shower. The hostel just creates an amazing vibe to meet people and make friends. I would go back to New Orleans just to stay here again! The location could not be better — it’s right between Frenchmen and bourbon so it’s easy to go out anywhere. It’s also right near a trolley stop which was adorbs. The people and amenities at the hostel honestly made our spring break trip. And the price is hard to beat! Cannot recommend this place enough.

I LOVE this hostel! It's the place to stay in New Orleans. Fun spaces, social staff and guests, wonderful events, and the perfect location. Also the best hostel breakfast I've ever had. The memories I made here are priceless. I highly recommend staying at Madame Isabelle's!

I cannot say enough good things about this hostel. I researched all six in closest proximity to the FQ and this one far surpassed all others. The staff is incredible - so genuine, professional and fun! They truly were a big part of making my time in Nola so wonderful. Clean, timely, great communication, lovely home environment, free breakfast, community/hostel group events, laundry, lots of amenities, convenient, quick walk to FQ, as a solo female traveler I felt safe (using common sense like any larger city) etc. etc. Stay here! You will be thrilled that you did!

Completely amazing place, you just must visit it. Everything is so authentic and cosy. Small garden with hot bathtub, beautiful dinning room, small library and funny statue as fountain. The beds are comfortable and give you privacy.
I really enjoyed weekend here.

It's a great hostel in a perfect location! You can walk to the French quarter and Frenchmen street very easily and the neighborhood is quiet and very nice.
The hostel is clean and beautiful, feels like a house for rich locals. The kitchen is so well equipped, breakfast in the morning is great and the staff is amazing, they organize activities every day. Kyle was super kind with everyone and hard working, also Marisa was a great night life guide and kudos to the girl who cooked jambalaya for the entire hostel the day I arrived... Would totally come back, I loved this hostel!

I stayed there for 1 week for the new year, it was my first experience in a hostel and thanks to them I will do it again.
The managers are so kind and helpful on every level, they organize so many gatherings and events which permit us to meet new people.
The room and bathroom are really clean, and the hot tub and the breakfast are a big plus.
In addition, it's also very well positioned. You will be really glad to be able to go to Bourbon Street and Frenchmen Street on foot.

I stayed at this hostel for 2 weeks and will never forget my stay there ✨

I met amazing people that I laughed so much with, and I also had great times chilling by myself in the peaceful garden.

This place has everything you can be searching for in a hostel : a hot tub, friendly people, a guitar you can use any time you want, a tv room, delicious frequent local dishes (Jambalaya, Gumbo, corn bread...), copious breakfasts and artistic sweat treats made by either Kyle, Sophia, Marissa, Kristian, Connor, Carly and Sean... ♥️

Well, I will definitely come back to this hostel where I could feel home.
Merci pour tout, cœur sur vous ????????

Wow! This hostel surprised me and raised my expectations of what to expect in a shared living space. It was beyond clean and the staff make sure to keep it that way.

I spent most of my time, not in the studio, here in the hot tub. If you have the pleasure to stay here PLEASE enjoy the hot tub!

The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch and though I was gone too early to enjoy it, I did enjoy the unlimited amount of coffee.

The vibe of the place is definitely quite magical. Very New Orlean. They have a private room available if you are a bit weary of the shared living arrangement though, they have quite a nice set up.

The location was perfect! A hop, skip, away from the French Quarter. ✨

Will definitely stay here again when I’m in town.
