Hotel Selina, offering budget rooms and great common areas, such as the rooftop terrace with bar

Located on a small street in the Warehouse District, the Selina is a very pleasant urban hotel. From budget rooms to one- and two-bedroom apartments and quadruple rooms with bunk beds, there's something to suit every taste. The Selina also boasts superb communal areas, starting with a rooftop terrace and bar (where DJ evenings are organized), not to mention a café-bar occupying part of the first floor and a yoga room.

Being here reminded me of a small island with exclusive essentials. The guest experience is what made it feel like home. Rooms are authentically appeasing to the eye, I would recommend taking a journey through this property because Its very soothing and welcoming. Great job to the staff!

This cute hotel was the best for our one night stay in NOLA! Service was amazing. Jordan the General Manager was so kind and energetic, as soon as he heard it was our first time in the city he whipped out beads for us. He totally made our trip here!

Pros: Pretty property (insta friendly), rooftop space, bar and food, luggage storage, employees were all super helpful and nice to me my stay, great location (10-15 from French Quarter, you can walk a lot of places), was able to check me in 2 hours early, safety (there's a key card to scan into the building after hours so no one can just wander in

Cons: Mold in rooms (which I'm sure is from the humidity in NOLA and a mix of other things), broken things in rooms (my AC was broken and needed batteries, part of the shower curtain line was broken, TV didn't work), very thin duvet provided (room was very cold), couldn't open my window shade to get any natural light because I was on the first floor and if I did everyone could see straight into my room

Overall, for the price I paid and the fact I only stayed one night, I'd give it 3 stars, but I wouldn't book here again unless they figured out the problems within the rooms and if I stayed in NOLA longer I definitely would've switched hotels. The size of the room was perfect for 1 person, but the layout is so weird (shower right next to the bed would steam the ENTIRE room). You can also hear EVERYTHING at ALL times

We booked a room with a queen bed for 4 nights via Agoda. We received a double bed in room 12 which felt like a prison cell with the shower and sink in the bedroom with us, a sticky concrete floor with no carpets, a musty smell, and limited to only a single room key. There was also a rusty nail with a plastic water bottle cap on it sticking out of the brick wall along-side the bed. After one night they told us we had to check out of room 12 and downgraded us to a room with a bathroom that is shared with another room because they didn't seem to have our Agoda reservation. After another guest didn't show up, they were able to upgrade us to room H2 with a king size bed, however this room had no blanket on the bed and the air conditioning was not adjustable and the room was very cold and there were no hangers in the closet and there was something gross on the decorative pillow (see photo). We asked for a blanket and some hangers but the blanket was more of a throw and wasn't big enough for the bed and the sheets had stains on them (see photos) and the hangers were too small to hang on the bar in the closet (see photos) so we hung them on the walls... we ended up checking out and staying in a slightly more expensive but way nicer hotel. The staff was nice enough and they tried to solve our problems, but we didn't want to keep struggling with this unsatisfactory hotel.
