SELINA CATAHOULA NEW ORLEANS
Hotel Selina, offering budget rooms and great common areas, such as the rooftop terrace with bar
Located on a small street in the Warehouse District, the Selina is a very pleasant urban hotel. From budget rooms to one- and two-bedroom apartments and quadruple rooms with bunk beds, there's something to suit every taste. The Selina also boasts superb communal areas, starting with a rooftop terrace and bar (where DJ evenings are organized), not to mention a café-bar occupying part of the first floor and a yoga room.

DON'T TRUST THE PARKING RATES! The website says the o'Keefe garage is $20 / night; however, during our stay the rate fluctuated from $30-40 / night with no in-out rate.
Poor scheduling may lead to no one available to check you in (See additional details)
The rooms are all different so you may end up with a bed one foot off the ground or no desk. Don't trust the pictures.
Don't worry too much though about the desk because the wifi is so bad you won't be able to get any work done anyways.
Prepare to bring earplugs because depending on your room, you can hear every sound in the hotel. On our last night, a pair got in around 4am; not only did their conversation wake us up but we could hear them entering and exiting the 1st floor door from our 3rd floor room.
There are some rooms attached to the hotel; however, others are in a separate building next door, so going to the bar or lobby means leaving your building and going next door. Not fun during a flash flood warning rain and a lot of the areas outside the hotel lobby/ common areas flood during rains.
The rooftop bar and lobby bar have inconsistent days/hours so be sure to check if you're planning to go to either.

We (along with a lobby full of others) waited for over an hour to check in because there was no one working at the hotel. Eventually, one of the staff came and had to call around to various others in an attempt to get someone to check us in. After a while, one of the maintenance men had to take pictures of each of our IDs on his personal phone to pass out keys so we wouldn't be stuck in the lobby anymore.
PIn light of these numerous failed expectations and the lack of proper resolution, I kindly request a refund for my stay. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and address these concerns promptly. I sincerely hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration and that necessary actions will be taken to rectify the issues highlighted. It is my belief that by doing so, your Selina hotel can regain the trust and loyalty of its guests, ensuring a positive experience for future visitors.
