Hotel near the Mississippi River and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, featuring a rooftop terrace and pool.

Opening in December 2020, it is the first hotel to open in over 50 years in the French Quarter. Located near the Mississippi River and the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, it occupies a restored sugarcane-era warehouse. Its 83-odd rooms are spread over eight floors and are incredibly bright, not to mention stylish with brick walls. The hotel features the trendy Batture restaurant and bar, a rooftop terrace, a courtyard with fireplace and pool, a gym and paid parking.

Couldn't sleep. Forgot to mention that a train comes by a few times a night blowing the horn. Walls are thin, can hear everything outside including the parking lot.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Easily walkable. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfy. They need to do a better job with the continental breakfast. We also stayed Friday night and we were supposed to be able to access a full breakfast menu on Saturday, but the kitchen was closed and no accommodations were made for any food. At the very least, they should’ve put out the same continental breakfast as minimal as it is.
2 other issues: The water pressure in the sink was really slow -but the shower was fine. The last thing was the rooms are not soundproof, and we could hear the couple next-door having sex! It was pretty loud!

Definitely enjoyed my stay here. Great location, beautifully decorated, and everything went smoothly. The front desk was accommodating and polite. Really really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again

Great and affordable hotel! Right pretty much in the French quarter within walking distance of everything, whether it is the Cafes or the Casino. The front desk was always super helpful and consistently were friendly between the 4 or 5 different individuals I interacted with. The building was secure with many key card check points to get in. 8th floor has a outdoor balcony lounge overlooking the river. Yes, there is a train once a night(~530am), but honestly not a big bother. The only con really is parking. There is a big lot next door that is super convenient but it comes at a cost of about $45 a day. I would stay again, front desk workers were the cherry on the top.

The was a very clean trendy place to stay. It was very safe and the staff was very nice. Great location easy to get to the convention center and all over downtown on foot. The few downs were the train is very noisy and WILL wake you up very early. If you are planning on working while here the WiFi is not secure and my company laptop rejected the use of it ( not good since this was a work trip). The free breakfast was disappointing but the Ruby slipper nearby had the best breakfast/brunch so we were glad we ended up there instead! We didn’t try the dinner there but they had a nice area if you wanted to eat there and hang around the hotel. All in all a nice place to stay.
