I was suggested to eat on the rooftop of the Higgins hotel after my visit to the WWII museum.
Great suggestion!

Amazing view. Amazing food. I loved it.

My husband and I just stayed at the Higgins for our 25th wedding anniversary. I was really disappointed with the experience. I was a Hilton Diamond member when I made the reservations for my trip. I became a member from living in a Hilton hotel for a few months and earning a significant amount of points. When I booked my room, I was told that if I get a standard King, I could get a free upgrade to a nicer room which is what I wanted since it was our anniversary. Well last year I didn't use enough points so 6 days before our trip, I was reduced to "silver". I wasn't concerned because my reservation was made under my diamond status. Well I called to upgrade my room as directed only to be told that it would be $550.00 additional per night because I was reduced to silver. After I explained everything, I was told...."well your silver now" so this is what you'll have to pay. I was shocked!!!!! I called Hiltonhonors and was told that the hotel had the ability to upgrade our room. All the planning, I spoke to 3 people about my reservations...smh. I was told that there would be a complimentary fruit basket upon our arrival...."not". I was told that my husband and I would be able to use $15 per day each for food and I was charged....One disaster after the next. I did get the basket 3 days later thanks to a very kind concierge. I'm sure the reviews reflect great experiences which is why I chose this hotel....but my experience was very disappointing. I think that there could have been more compassion. There was nothing for the hotel to lose, but my 25th Anniversary is over. Thanks alot!!

4/6/2024 at 1:25pm. I caledl to asked about if I need to make a reservation for the Rosie's on the Roof Bar and the receptionist rudely stated "UNFORTUNATELY THE LINES ARE BUSY, CAN YOU HOLD" and placed the call on hold without waiting for a responds. just RUDE.

Beautiful hotel that smells amazing! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and plush. The location is a little further from the action, but we were fine with that since we prefer the quietness. The St. Charles Streetcar is only a few blocks away and there are some good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The rooftop bar has great views, but the food is very pricey. Next time, I would skip the food there and go to a local restaurant instead. All in all, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

Standard rooms are small, better for suites. The hotel has a military ambiance, and common areas are well kept. Awesome food selection, highly recommend rooftop to eat. the burger was delicious, and the drinks were good.

Pros: The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean. The rooms are not all that special but the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to stay away from the craziness of the French Quarter and prefer a quiet stay.
Cons: We stayed 3 nights and were in and out of the hotel a lot. Not once were we greeted or acknowledged by the people working at the front desk, not even upon initial arrival. It was also disappointing that there was no free coffee in the lobby in the morning. We have never stayed at a Curio Collection where this was the case. There is a small shop inside the hotel where we were able to purchase a cup of coffee each morning but they even charged $1 extra if you wanted creamer in it. Overall, our stay was pleasant but the Higgins was lacking the service and feel you usually experience at a Curio Collection.

Stayed here for St. Paddy's day weekend and it was just ok. The lobby is beautiful and has a very pleasant smell to it (although depending on your tolerance, may be overpowering). There is a restaurant, bar, and market all within the first floor which is very nice. It sits across from the National WWII Museum which we visited and paid $70 only to leave after 15 minutes due to the very large crowds. Walk to the French Quarter is not too bad either, but can get a little old after a while. Overall, convenient area.

We arrived around 10a although, check-in is at 4p and they assured that we would receive a call once the room is ready. Never received a call (even after 4p). They held our bags and we came in after check in time. My partner has gold tier benefits with Hilton and early-on had received notice that we had an upgraded room (yay!) but as we came up to the floor where our room was, it had been apparent we were given the room furthest away from the elevators, and that with no view but a parking structure (we asked for River or Downtown view). That left us pretty bummed as we had to walk 50 rooms and three halls down to reach our room with no view. If it did have a view, maybe the hike would've been worth it.

Hotel front desk did not seem to friendly at all. They will acknowledge you by looking your way but they will not greet or welcome you. It seemed there was only maybe one of them that was nice and tried to help us.

Roof top is nice otherwise and service there was friendly.

I Recently Booked a room online for my wife and I that was supposed to include a balcony. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that room was not available, because of a maintenance issue.
We were offered the presidential suite which, we agreed to. The room was great with a nice view of the city. The only problem was the room was located directly under the bar and rooftop restaurant, which was excessively loud. I informed Nate at the front desk, which we responded by offering $100 complimentary meal. The rest of the stay was very unpleasant, because the thermostat on the 8th floor was set in 60 degrees, which made the room temperature fluctuate excessively. There was also a large bubble in the flooring in the suite. Would not stay here again while visiting New Orleans.

Great location but a little over priced for what you get. Rooms are a little smaller than your average Hilton. Was no valet, porter or concierge service when we checked in. Kind of expected those high end amenities at a property like this.

The decor was beautiful, I loved the retro look. The food was to die for. My only complaint is parking and the random man screaming down the hall at 1am...

Excellent hotel. Went for conference, but location next to WWII museum and Cochon restaurant is nice. A bit far walking distance to French district unfortunately

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Showed up for check in late in the evening the night that we got there. After getting checked in and up to our rooms we got our vehicle parked in the parking garage. Everything was explained very well by the person checking me in. Staff was super friendly and took very good care of us. Parking is available in the parking garage next door and accessible using hotel key when set up and paid for correctly. Accessible parking is available but does rely on the parking garages elevator. There is a limited number of two spots per floor. Parking is accessible from the magazine street side as is the hotel front entrance for some reason Google maps likes to take you to the side door which is locked a lot of the time. Rooms are a very good quality and very nice aesthetic. Secure access to the elevator so that people aren't just randomly coming up to your floor for the most part. They have two bars on site one upstairs and one downstairs that both close at 10:00 and 11 respectively. Food served each until about 10:00. They have also have a cafe on hand for breakfast and lunch. They have computers and printers available for handling business if necessary and the desk staff are also very helpful at trying to help you anytime you need anything. Entrances are secure at night along with people keeping an eye on them which makes you feel very safe and secure for a hotel. Rooms were super clean and well maintained. Parking cost is above what you see at room cost and it's roughly $45 per day as of writing this review. That's on par with what the city charges given the fact that you're in a secured parking garage with cameras etc. I love the overall classic design of the hotel even though it's clean and modern where it needs to be they maintain the old style aesthetic of the era matching the world war II museum across the street. Lots of cool displays and furniture pieces to match this.

Very nice. Very clean. Perfect air conditioner. Excellent room. Great location. Great parking. Wonderful restaurant. Excellent bathroom with great shower great hot water. But the bed & bedding… Let me tell you those goose down pillows & comforter, perfect mattress & 1800000 thread count sheets… WOW. It was so comfortable I can’t even explain. I slept so good I wanted to go to bed early, get up late, and go back to the hotel twice a day to get back in bed for a nap. It was fantastic!!! Directly across the street from the national WW2 museum with several good restaurants in walking distance. I parked in the garage when I got there & didn’t go to my truck until time to check out 3 days later…

Me and my wife are Diamond members and got a terrible room even though we checked in early.

Room was at least clean and the location is great.

The bell boy did a great job, I believe his name is Hunter.

Front desk staff didn’t want to be there it seemed like.
